Deep in the desolate, quiet mountains of Illinois sits a cabin retreat rumored to be the hunting ground of “Ice Ghosts.” When Ann is attacked by a freezing, spectral force, she begins a terrifying transformation. She is fading, turning into something mindless and cold—a zombie of the frost. The only thing that can tether her soul to her body is the power of a Final Rose.


Rose leads her group into the heart of the winter wilderness to investigate the phenomenon. Sheltered in Ann’s cabin, they are haunted by a constant, low-frequency humming that vibrates through the floorboards. In the distance, they see the “Frozen Ones”—zombies created by the Ice Ghosts using a mysterious, galvanic *Seed*. Yet, the ghosts hold the key to the cure: they are the only ones who can bloom the Final Roses. In the dead of winter, Rose must risk everything to steal a bloom and save her friend.


The cure comes with a price, and Vicky is the one who pays it. Her life becomes a prism of cold; she exhales frost, her touch turns water to ice, and her eyes shift to a piercing, iceberg blue. The Ice Ghosts haven’t finished with her—they are still out there, circling Cabin 9. As Vicky begins to lose her humanity to the visions granted by the ice, the clock ticks down. Can the ghosts be defeated before Vicky is lost to the winter forever?


Desperate for a climate that won’t kill her, Vicky flees to the wilds of Alaska. Rose, ever the loyal companion, follows her into the white silence to bring her home. But the “Beautiful Land” is a trap of its own, and Rose becomes lost in the tundra. To ensure Vicky makes it back to the world of the living, Rose must decide: will she trade her own life to send her friend home well?
