Short excerpt:

“I’ll outshine the prom queen. I’ll wear rhinestones in my hair.”

“You’ll be far prettier,” he said.

They finally decided on a college that was two hours away. They did not get to go to prom because they did not attend the same high school. It was ok. She planned to go herself, and he would met her there. They danced outside the school gym, and he gave her a ride home.

When Tyra got home, she found Abigail sitting on her bed. It was the only house she knew. She didn’t know where Leslie lived. It was somewhere near.

 “What are you doing here?” Tyra asked.

“I want the letters,” Abigail answered. She began walking toward the letters in the closet to get them.

Abigail raced there and grabbed the letters. She held them tightly, and Abigail couldn’t get them, and she ran to the living room. Her parents were gone, but a nice winter fire was blazing. Abigail lunged for her hand but only knocked Tyra over. As Tyra lay there, Abigail pinned her down and slapped her. When Abby stood up, Tyra took a letter and tossed it into the fireplace.

“No,” Abigail screamed and a smoke cloud blew out of the fireplace.

Another letter went into the fire. “You can forget these. I want you to stay away from this house!” Another letter went into the fire. Abigail started swearing things Tyra did not understand and she tossed another letter into the fire. Some of the flames burned blue, and Abigail began smoking. It became apparent Abigail was chanting. Could she have power over elements? Could she be releasing that curse she had threatened?

Abigail's road will become more dangerous soon.

When Abigail Anthony is free and wants revenge for being contained in the Shadows house for a long time, she will not stop until her reign of terror is finished. Her thirst for their blood is real and she goes looking for the Smythes who used to live there and sold her haunted house to Tim Terror's haunted house company. When she finds them, she goes on a haunting spree along her road.

Angry she is walking into Tyras's trap to get rid of her. Ty doesn't want a dangerous ghost running around, especially one that's killed before.

Tyra wants to stop Abigail forever and get out of Rosebud. It's hard because Abigail is invisible and dangerous. Now that she has Abigail's personal belongings and letters she wrote from camp, her existence is on the line. She wants the letters back because of the attachment. She wrote them to her mom at 13; they can destroy her now.

Can Tyra use her psychic senses to stop Abigail from her reign of terror on the road or will Abigail take over the town?
